刘少军传授20多年来对鱼类远缘杂交和染色体倍性操纵展开了条理研讨,提出了鱼类远缘杂交可构成两性可育品系的新观念,树立了条理的鱼类远缘杂交实际和技能体系。其研讨效果为研制新型优秀鱼类提供了新途径,也为证明鱼类可沿着这些可育品系的构成途径停止演化提供了紧张证据;证明存在鲤鱼与团头鲂杂交构成鲫鱼的退化途径,初次证明白A物种与B物种杂交可以构成C物种。他掌管研制出源于远缘杂交的同源四倍体鱼、改进异源四倍体鱼、同源二倍体鱼品系和异源二倍体鱼品系等可育品系,并用之联合染色体倍性操纵技能研制了在消费上有紧张使用代价的优秀三倍体鱼和二倍体鱼,此中湘云鲫2号、鳊鲴杂交鱼和杂交翘嘴鲂3个新种类取得农业部水产新种类证书;用倍间交配办法大范围研制的具有不育、体型雅观、肉质鲜嫩、抗逆性强、生长速率快、小刺少等长处的优秀三倍体鱼在天下推行养殖,发生了明显的经济、社会和生态效益。

刘少军传授以第一完成人(2011年)落第四完成人(2003年)两次获国度科技提高二等奖;领衔“海水鱼类发育生物学团队”获“天下专业技能人才先辈个人”称呼(2014年);以第一完成人获湖南省科技提高一等奖(2008年)和湖南省技能创造一等奖(2015年);以第三完成人获中国专利良好奖;以第一完成人取得国度创造专利22项;掌管培育结业了19名博士生和44名硕士生,3名出站博士后,培育了一大批本科生;掌管了国度出色青年迷信基金,国度“973”方案课题,国度“863”方案子课题,国度天然迷信基金重点项目(3项)、国度天然迷信基金严重国际协作研讨项目、国度天然迷信基金面上项目,科技部农业效果转化基金等40多项国度及省部级课题。

刘少军传授撰写的专著《鱼类远缘杂交》取得国度迷信技能学术著作出书基金赞助并由迷信出书社出书;以第一著作人或通讯著作人的120多篇学术论文发布于PNAS、ScientificReports、Genetics、Molecularand Cellular Endocrinology、Biologyof Reproduction、Heredity、CurrentMolecular Medicine、Journalof Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology、PLoSONE、Celland Tissue Research、AminoAcids、MarineBiotechnology、Generaland Comparative Endocrinology、International Journal of BiologicalSciences、BMCGenetics、Aquaculture、Journalof Molecular Evolution、Journalof Experimental Zoology (Part B)、Animal Reproduction Science、《中国迷信》、《迷信转达》等刊物上,此中SCI论文90篇。

刘少军传授积极参与国际外的学术交换运动,他先后受邀参与了在美国(2016年)和澳大利亚(2014年)举行的天下水产学会学术年会,在法国(2007年)举行的第八届国际鱼类繁衍生理学大会,在新加坡(2013年)举行的鱼类遗传育种专题集会,在台湾(2007,2009年)、武汉(2008年)辨别举行的第一、二、三届海峡两岸“鱼类生理与养殖”研讨会,在北京(2015年)举行的“海水生物学的前沿迷信题目”香山迷信集会,并在上述大会中作学术陈诉,失掉了浩繁专家的好评;由于其在鱼类生理与养殖研讨范畴具有较强的影响力,他已成为每年一次例会的海峡两岸“鱼类生理与养殖”研讨会的大陆方面的提倡人,并乐成掌管和包办了第四届海峡两岸“鱼类生理与养殖”研讨会,为推进海峡两岸的水产迷信研讨做出了突出奉献。
